 Wood imitating leather.  Leather buttons similar to this were popular on men's sports coats from the 1930s through the early 1960s.  I would guess that this button dates to the 1950s.  The design is cut into the wood.  Self Shank. Measures 7/8" for an NBS medium.

ID: Wood15.   $3

 4-hole sew through of wood with an abalone shell inset.  The thread holes are finished with brass!  Measures 1-1/16" for NBS medium.

I love the personality of this realistic-shaped fishFinish is a paint and laquer.  Metal loop shank to finish.  Measures approx. 1" in height and 3/4" in width.  Style makes me think he is 1950s or early 60s.

 Rocking horse or toy!  This is a hand-painted wood button -- a studio button by Claribel Peacher of Carmichael, California.  She no longer makes buttons.  Measures 1-5/16" at it's widest for an NBS Large.  Sew through.

 Bowling Pin! Realistic, wood with shank holes nicely carved in the back.  Measures 1-inch in height for an NBS medium.  Probably dates to the 1940s or 50s.
